Job Summary/Basic Function

The Applications Support Data Analyst will serve as a member of the Enterprise Applications/Information Systems Services team with the primary responsibility of providing high quality, customer-focused technical support for Millersville University’s information systems. Under the supervision of Director of Enterprise Applications, The Applications Support Data Analyst will develop software solutions using supported MU Information Systems tools and provide data for reporting and external systems as needed. Ability to learn new technologies and apply those to applications using best practices and consistent methods of development to ensure optimum efficiency and security.

Starting salary is $61,271 annually, with a comprehensive benefit plan.

Position available immediately.

Required Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related major from an accredited institution.
  • Two years supporting and developing application/reporting solutions using enterprise systems (Examples: Oracle, Enterprise report writers). Relevant work experience must be within the last three years.
  • One year application development and project management experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications and reporting development tools applicable to university enterprise architecture. (Preferred: Oracle, Cognos, Ellucian Banner.)
  • Demonstrated ability of analytical thinking, problem solving and customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated and effective organizational, problem-solving, customer service, written/verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies
  • Ability to:
    o Work independently and in coordination with others
    o Present and train users, effective communication
  • Demonstrated evidence of commitment to diversity and equity
  • Successful interview and three background checks: Criminal Background Check (Act 34); Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151); and FBI Federal Criminal History-Fingerprinting (Act 114).
